Porta Palazzo

Starting from the city’s main square, Piazza Castello, we’ll take Via XX Settembre and, passing by the Church of San Lorenzo and the Cathedral of Turin, we’ll come to the historic Porta Palatina, the main archaeological evidence of the Roman period. From here, we’ll go into the vibrant world of Porta Palazzo, the largest open air market in Europe, where colors, sounds and traditions intertwine creating a magical atmosphere.
Countless alleys branch off from the market and will lead us to the heart of this dynamic and multiethnic district: the Balon, where artisans and artists find themselves setting up banquets of all kinds, from antiques to vintage clothing, from books to trinkets.
Looking up at the sky you will discover the balloon of Turin, the largest braked areostato in the world, rising up to 150 meters high and offering a breathtaking view of the city.
After tasting some of the typical Piedmontese starters, we will move toward Piazza Emanuele Filiberto to get to the heart of the Roman quarter, the oldest area of the city, where we will end our journey with a traditional lunch.
